The adventure

This workout is for all fitness levels - come run the Rocky Steps with CoreFitness! Prepare for a full body workout for all fitness levels. Developed by physical therapists and experienced personal trainers, the workout will combine traditional body weight exercises (think push-ups, sit ups, planks & squats) with an innovative twist! We will use the outdoor terrain to add intensity and creativity to your workout sessions. No two classes are ever the same. It's the awesome workout, the supportive community and the great views of the city from the top of the Art Museum steps that will keep you coming back for more!

The plan

1. Warm up

Meet at the bottom of the Art Museum steps (left side when facing the museum). We'll start with a dynamic warm up so that joints and muscles will be ready for the workout. All fitness levels are welcome! We stick together as a group, but everyone works at their own pace.

2. Workout!

This is a full body workout, appropriate for all fitness levels. Experienced athletes and those new to exercise are working out along side one another, each at a level that is right for them. Think traditional body weight exercises using the outdoor terrain to kick things up a notch and keep it interesting.

We'll finish each workout with a focus on the core, and a final stretch. Stay after class to enjoy the view!

CoreFitness

I am a physical therapist with years of experience teaching fitness classes on the steps. I'm thrilled to work with all different types of human from experienced athletes to those brand new to exercise! I love showing people that when they think they can't....they actually can!

Guest requirements

Guests must be 18 years or older for this adventure. This adventure is moderate. Up to 10 guests can attend this adventure. There is free street parking surrounding the Art Museum area, with a 5 minute walk to the steps. Parking can also be found at the back of the Art Museum in the free parking lot (enter at the intersection of Sedgley Drive and Kelly Drive)
