The adventure

The perfect socially distanced experience for the whole family. Reduced group sizes of six allows for a safe and fun time for all. Private group tours also available for any number of people within your pod. This breathtaking 2 mile walking tour of San Francisco's hidden stairways is the #1 rated walking tour in the Bay Area, loved by both locals and tourists alike. See gorgeous mosaic tiled steps and hear the stories behind them, then take in stunning 360° views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and downtown San Francisco. You'll also discover beautiful neighborhoods and gardens that many locals are not aware of and that tourists rarely see. Oh, and you might even go home with a succulent! I'll provide commentary, context and some history along the way. Guests should be reasonably fit. Though we don't cover many miles, some of the terrain is steep. It will be necessary to carry small children as strollers are not suitable. If you bring a guest that’s under 18, it’s your responsibility to make sure the activities they participate in are age-appropriate. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early. Meet at 850 Judah St. Some FREE street parking on nearby streets, allow extra time to park & beware 2 hour parking. Hike is 2 hours. Bring water, camera, sunscreen and energy bars. Dress in layers.

Gregory

I'm a native Irishman but a 20 year resident of San Francisco who adores my adopted city and loves showing it off to locals and tourists alike. A former marathon runner, I know the city's best views but now prefer a more moderate hike on gorgeous stairs! This walk is done at a leisurely pace & suitable for most people. If a date and time that you'd prefer is unavailable please send me a message and I'll see if I can accommodate you.

This is a great tour with arguably the best views in San Francisco. The walk is pleasant with interesting topics covered the entire way. And the staircases I will never see the same way again... so informative. Gregory is interesting and fun to be with, although the tour is completely relaxed. And the stunning pictures that were sent directly to my phone after the tour were great! Take this Tour... you’ll be glad you did!

Greg's tour was a delightful adventure. He's got both an encyclopedic knowledge of SF history & a storyteller's knack for sharing colorful lore. Even as a resident for 20 years, I learned all kinds of fascinating details about our Golden city by the Bay. Tourists and locals alike will thoroughly enjoy themselves. Don't miss this--it's an epic experience!
